skytron energy is excited to announce the release of version 2.9 of PVGuard. The new version will be released on the night of Monday-Tuesday, March 25th – 26th 2019, when it will automatically become available to all PVGuard customers.
As the PVGuard Supervision platform is based on Java, it requires a Java runtime environment (recommended Version 8) to be installed.
Version 2.9 brings several improvements to the application.
Drill-Down for User-defined Views
Many PVGuard users already design their own customized plant displays that show just the information they need and in exactly the way they want.
With PVGuard 2.9, the Dashboard Designer is enhanced with the ability to link custom views to each other for more detailed, targeted information. For each control used in the dashboard, you can individually configure which view to open when the item is clicked.
Starting with portfolio views to site overviews down to views of individual components, this link allows you to move deeper and deeper into the different levels of monitoring with a single click. Any predefined view, other dashboards, or saved views can be used for the drill-down navigation.
Proof of Yield Loss Calculation
Using the integrated Service Log, lost yield can be determined and recorded. PVGuard yield loss estimates are produced by calculating how much power would have been produced theoretically by that plant or component under normal circumstances. The yield loss is calculated as the difference between the actual power production and the theoretical production capacity.
PVGuard 2.9 enhances the traceability of this calculation bringing more details to the data export for the individual incidents. Used measurement data and intermediate calculation results are included in an export format to prove the calculation of losses, for example against insurance companies.
